![]() ![]() You know already my expectations proved wrong, to the point that I can't even say the Nightclerk was interesting enough to make it worth reading. ![]() With its cover both sexy and tacky (in that '70s-porn kind of way), and the inside adorned with praise from the likes of Holmes and Vonnegut comparing Schneck's writing to Burroughs', it seemed like it'd be right up my alley, a lost gem from the romantic 1960s to sit alongside other lost classics like Nog. A couple years ago I came across this little guy, beaten and ragged, at an old book shoppe the cult-ish '70s Grove Press logo initially drew my interest, as their publishing during the height of the counter culture often proved to be, if not genuinely good, at least interesting and worthwhile. ![]()

![]() ![]() When Harry, Ron and Hermione meet Dumbledore’s brother, Aberforth, in “The Missing Mirror” chapter of The Deathly Hallows, he tells them that Dumbledore befriended Grindelwald while living in Godric’s Hollow after graduating from Hogwarts. ![]() To figure out how this narrative may unfold, let’s take a look at Dumbledore’s backstory. While this may sound like a simple name drop, fans know that Rowling - who wrote the film’s screenplay - is particularly good at planting clues in her work. “What makes Albus Dumbledore so fond of you?” In fact, the sole mention of Dumbledore occurs when Percival Graves (Colin Farrell) - who is later shown to be dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) in disguise - reveals he was the only teacher who argued against Newt’s expulsion from Hogwarts. When Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) arrives in America at the beginning of the first film, it’s December 1926, meaning Dumbledore is not yet the headmaster of Hogwarts, but working as the school’s Transfiguration professor. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() and the whole world of imagination are under threat as a battle for the fate of bookwandering is set in motion. That would be the TB12 Method, which the Center’s site describes this way: That’s one of the revelations I discovered during a visit to the TB12 Sports Therapy Center, the gym/treatment facility opened by Tom Brady and his body coach Alex Guerrero to give both future Hall of Famers and those who don’t play football for a living a chance to embrace what everyone around there calls “The Method.” Specifically, I sit on it too much and I don’t use the muscles packed into it as much as I should. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There is nothing ordinary about the 10X Rule.
